CPU usage is a factor. Why not run HDTune right after booting up?

That one was seen while sitting here idle on the GP drive the 32bit 7077 is installed on. It has more to do with the energy saving feature then any load on the cpu there. The other Cavier SE drives are more performance orientated being strictly intended for internal use seeing the faster access time.

No, it's just regular ram used like a hard disk and you choose how much RAM you want to allocate to RAMdisk. A ton faster (45x over my HD) but, when you restart your computer the RAMdisk is gone, or the data has been deleted. I use for things like Firefox and iTunes. You wouldn't believe how fast they open.

i thought they had a backup battery and they have some lights showing how much charge is left so the data can be kept on there?

all i need is a free pci slot.... how much room do you need for yours? has yours got a max of 4gb?

A ramdisk is more or less utilizing the active ram on the system where everything gets cleared out once you shutdown or simply see a fast restart. That type is highly violitile unless you can create some type of backup image to reload again later.

Hard Drive Partitioning Performance Issues
The current hardware is available: 1 x 120GB 1 x 250GB 1 x 1TB 1 x 1TB I intend to store my data on all of the HDDs but as the 1TBs are newer than the other smaller ones, their performance is also much better. So if I partition lets say one of the 1 TB HDDs like: Partition 1 60GB - OS
