    These new 1TB WD10EZEX blue drives have some really great sequential speeds, are very quiet and sport 64MB cache and new technology format (internal). Topping 190 MB/s at the end of the platter and about 150 MB/s mid-platter. Using them for backup of my SSD is quite fast. You can get them for around $85.

    Seagate Constellation Enterprise 500GB drive I use for user and data drive.
    The burst rate is sure far from the read.write speeds shown, and what are the yellow specs?

    Yellow specs = random access latency across platter the with the scale on the right hand side of the graph.

    BTW, just a heads up. The free version of HDTune will change the "put the computer to Sleep" time to "Never" and will not restore what you had it set to. Took me a while to figure out HDtune was messing with my power plan.
