floppy drive detected?? i have none.. ??

When i first installed windows 7...

on my computer... it listed that i have a floppy drive..

    but i had none..???

this seems to cause some programs some problems.... such as

    run traktor due software..

    the error says

    Traktor.exe - Drive Not Ready

The drive is not ready for use; its door may be open. Please check drive A: and make sure that a disk is inserted and that the door is closed.

    CLOSE TRY AGAIN CONTINUE

its usually the same error for whatever program?!??!

Why is the device manager detecting a floppy drive??

i did uninstall the floppy... but this seems to cause problems..

in that... when i reboot or boot the system.. 9/10 times the mouse doesnt connect...usb...

so have to manually go to the device manager and scan for hardware changes??

this both happens with the mouse directly plugged into the back... or the front 5 in one card reader with a usb port in...

and also the usb hub i have... but the wireless adapter connects pretty much without hasstle every time... and this is usually in the usb hub??

    confused by this..

Many systems, especially older ones, have an on-board floppy controller. This controller is dumb, and doesn't know what's connected or not connected. These BIOS's *sometimes* have an option to disable the controller. It's not always there.

I would suggest that you try to disable the floppy drive in the bios as suggested above.

I would also suggest that you check the website of your motherboard / system to see if there are any newer motherboard drivers available - USB and similar on board items are normally handled by these drivers
