    Unknown Devices with Removable Storage


    Hi all,

    I've recently purchased a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium. Everything is running like a dream except I have five devices with removable storage showing in My Computer. All I have attached is a WD External Hard Drive which I have assigned to E: changing my CD drive to K:

    Is there any particular reason why these 5 additional unknown devices have appeared and can they be safely removed?

    Include your system specs so us helpers can look up your system on the internet - motherboard, video card etc.

    Normally, this would be a printer with a card reader or an included card reader in computer. It's usually a card reader of some kind. You may never use it but it's there.

    Makes sense. The machine has a card reader plonked in the front. Presumably each slot equates to a device.

How do I delete Usb devices from my computer ? I have unistalled them from Device Manager. But, when I restart the computer they come back. I have several and get confussed on which is which. Thanks : )
Hey guys:) I have a question, is it possible to remove floppy disk drive from view in explorer? 51954 I don't have floppy, so I don't want to have it there. Thanks
