Auto run issues with internal harddrives

    This is a weird one.

Installed win 7 64 about a week ago. My partitions are as follows.

Main Hd (sata -western digital raptor 10000):
    C: 50 gigs (OS only - 25 free)
D: 75 G (programs -all programs and games)
F: 1 G (System reserved created by instal, not me)

Backup internal HD (ide, old drive form old comp -WD 7500)
G: Slave (videos, music, backups, stuff I don't use much)
    -----------
Twice this has happened. Boot up and F: and G: come up in autorun dialogs.

Been looking around the web and everything I found said external HD's and flash drives have had autorun disabled due to a virus that can be run through autorun.
    OK, fine.

But why do F: and G:, both internal partitions, one on my main hd and one on my backup hd come up as autorun?

G: was erased and partitioned with Win7

Welcome! Try going into Control Panel>Autoplay, and at the bottom is a list of devices. See if the partitions are listed there.

Thanks, but no, nothing is listed at the bottom under devices.

I went ahead and chose 'do nothing' for the items that had 'ask me'. (audio, video, mixed...)

That should work. You just won't see the popup when you insert other things, like CDs and thumb drives.
