Keyboard & Mouse

Iv been using windows 7 x64 for around 3 months now and it has been great, but now my keyboard & mouse dont work anymore, i turned it off at night and in the morning when i switched it on had no keyboard/mouse.
Im having to use a ubuntu live cd because i have no control in windows 7, havnt got spare keyboard/mouse to test either. Tried disabling legacy support to no avail, also after a restart holding the power button, windows asked if i want to repair, i click yes then clicked on restore on the next tab, it restarted and keyboard/mouse worked fine until i rebooted again, now when i try restore it wont work at all and im stuck using ubuntu from a disc!

Hello, Welcome to the Forums!
It might help us if you filled in your system specs: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...tem-specs.html
Try booting up in Safe Mode. If you have control of the mouse, try uninstalling all mouse/keyboard drivers from Device Manager.
Also, what anti-virus are you using?

Good for you. Try uninstalling the drivers in Safe Mode, and rebooting. Then boot up normally and see what happens.

Hmm... This problem is beyond me. Can you boot to your Installation/Repair disc?
Are the keyboard and mouse USB, PS/2, or wireless? Also try booting to the BIOS and making sure they are enabled.

It should not touch your programs and files. I do not know of a way to uninstall drivers from Ubuntu.

I cant run the repair disk, running out of options and really dont want to do a full install, where would the directory be for generic keyboard/mouse drivers? i didnt install drivers from logitech so think there would be some windows 7 legacy driver, if i could find and delete it hopefully windows would re-install
Thanks for your help jonathan

Do you have control of your kb/mouse in the Repair disc? If so, we may be able to do stuff from the command prompt.
