Garmin 255 GPS not detected by win 7

My GPS Garmin 255 GPS is not detected by windows 7, Works like a charm on my XP unit. Has anyone experienced this and found a work around ? If not I'm almost ready to reload Xp

thanks . one site said they where working on an update for windows 7. No info when this would happen. In any event their aware of the problem. The Garmin 255 is a great little GPS. I've tried a few at more money, some are not worth plugging in.
