I have recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on my hp notebook. use to be with vista. but i made a clean install.
my processer is Intel R pentium dual cpu t239 1.86, 1,87 ghz
this means i basically have 2 x 1.86 ghz. correct me if i am wrong
i also have 4 gb ram.
now here is the thing. when i had vista, my processer was rated at 4.9 ghz.
but now im not sure if that is the thing. i need major help and advise. also. should i stick to 64 bit or should i put 32 bit. i have both.
i want to know whats best for me. with 4gb ram and intel pentium dual cpu should i stick with 32 bit or 64 bit. i have read alot about 64 bit can handle utilize all the 4 gb ram and +. 32 bit can max handle 3.2 gb or 3.5 gb. so please help me.

Welcome to SevenForums vodcus,
You have x64 installed. What is it rated at? If you are having problems they could be driver related as that is the case with some that have switched to x64. If you have problems what are they? I say stick with X64 and try to make it work for you. You shouldent mind the ratings. Also, you arent rated at 4.9 ghz, but 4.9 windows experience index.

need help please Part of the 4gb is being used by the system, but your numbers seem excessive. Off the top the only thing that I can think of is did you add ram, recently?
Check your perfomance monitor to see if any problems exist. Just type perfomance monitor in search. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

to myzr7. thanks for reply. i actually dont have any problem. actually the os is runing just fine. but i just think its strange , when i open task manager to se my laptops perfomance, it says only 2.88 physical ram is available.
on my system information it says total memory installed 4 gb. total physical memory installed 4 gb.
but only around 2.88 is available. even though when i barely have anything runing on backround. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit |

Where does it say that you have 2.88 gb available, in task manager or in the control panel -> system and security -> system?
The control panel number is quite ok, but if its in the ctrl panel, its really excessive. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Veriton m261 (modded) OS Win 7 pro 64-bit, Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2.60 Ghz Motherboard Whatever came with the system Memory 4 gb ddr2 667 Mhz Graphics Card NVidia Geforce 9400 GS 1 gb ddr2 550 mhz GPU Sound Card Intergrated Monitor(s) Displays samsung SyncMaster 2494 24" Screen Resolution 1080p Keyboard Apple Aluminium (Awesome) Mouse Some awesome Dell mouse, really good.
