Well I hope this will be my last post about this issue. Remember when I said that I had a Quicken Adobe printer on the same port as my Laserjet 6P? Well it turns out I forgot to configure my PCi card for port LPT2 as well as the printer. By giving the printer its own port(LPT2) and assigning the PCI card to LPT2 it now is completely isolated from LPT1 and is working fine. I can't believe I missed this config step. Hope this helps others.

PS. Wish I had Print Management snap in but my version of Windows 7 does not have this feature like some talk about. I could have solved this sooner...no doubt.

I hope that you have permanently solved the problem this time.

Just to let everyone know...the problem still exists. The printer prints fine but it will not show in Devices and Printers. I give up until someone else can figure this out.

Well the problem is solved. Apparently it was a driver issue with the parallel pci card. Rosewill released a new driver for Windows 7 and now everything works great. I have rebooted many times and the printer is alway there. Rosewill claims they new about this issue. It pays to have the latest drivers
