Windows 7: hdd lost data

hdd lost data

aoa
i have 320 gb wd external drive on which i saved some data some movies and documents and picss.but now when i connect it to my laptop it just shows an icon recycle bin and when i try to open it it says all files have been deleted.but the disk shows 13 gb of used space what has happened to it. ireally need that data how can i correct it plz help

hp laptop working fine

Could you go into Folder Options and confirm that Hidden and Protected OS files are displayed?

I will suggest using a recovery option,
such as recuvera, created by the same team that makes ccleaner.
