I was resizing some partitions in windows seven when I discovered the mirroring feature. So have two exact same size drives I added a mirror to the c drive. Once completed it mentioned something about manually making changes to the boot loader using bcdedit. I just glanced at it because at the same time someone instant message me and somehow i made the message disappear.
Now the drives are mirrored and can be sync'd. But the mirror has a yellow triangle on it. I can't seem to see what that triangle means anywhere. Here is a picture.
That little triangle is letting you know that their is a fault in the mirror process. The fault in your case is that it is still syncing up, since the mirror is new. So nothing to worry about.
HI Guys
I have windows 7 Premium, and looking to create a disk mirror, but the only options i get are for spanning and striping, do i need to have one of the other versions of windows 7 ???? to create a mirror set.
Do you already have the hard disk setup in a raid configuration on your motherboard? If so Windows probably doesn't allow a mirror configuration because the disk need to be on two separate channels for a mirror to work.
What is your current configuration and version of Windows 7?
