tv tuners

hi guys

i am trying to set up the entertainment thing

i brought a pctv usb thing today. I have just gotten home and it has blue screened my computer. ( no virus)

I will take it back tommorrow - i checked before buying i even asked them before buy is it ok for 7. They told me just update the drivers. Downloaded new drivers ( warning window for experienced users only) it's copy and paste to the driver foler- 99 dollar and i am thinking do i have to have to do this and where are the instructions - what happened to installation software. i was also getting errors from the software( going to take it back on this account) Then went out to catch up with a friend and come home to mr blue has been and recovered . taking this back tomorrow to get my money back.

does anyone have any suggestions of a good usb tv digital thing for windows 7 -for australia - or one with good software and works with 7 - ( no blues )

after dealing with all the virus stuff i just want something install and work

cheers thanks guys

What TV Tuner card did you buy? Also, are you running 32 or 64 bit of Windows 7?

Not being Australian, I don't know, but doesn't it require a DVB tuner there? I like my tuner very much, but it is neither DVB nor USB, but if I wanted this, I would take a look at this:

DViCO FusionHDTV Tuner PCI, USB: Home > Products > DVB-T Namo Plus

please post detailed system specs. we can give better suggestions with them. though to begin with i would opt for an internal card if you have a pci or pci-e slot open.

thats enough. you should have both the old pci and the new pci-e slots. i would check with hp if you are allowed to upgrade components. not all manufactures will allow you to do so. if you can not then go with the usb stick.
