Driver for scanner mustek 1200UB plus

I am an owner of a scanner - Mustek 1200UB PLUS.
Currently I am using the Windows 7 OS and I am in need of the drivers for the scanner.
Unfortunately, on Mustekr site, I found derivers only for XP OS.
Will you be so kind as to send me the correct link to the whereabouts of the WIN 7 OS drivers for my scanner
    Thank you

I don't know if this will help but I have a Microtek scanner (8 years old). Win7 64 bit didn't like the thing and would not install drivers. I installed the cd driver/program disk anyway. Told 7 to install even though it didn't like it. Turned on the scanner and started the program. Program did not find the scanner. Shut down program and opened device manager. The scanner was there as unknown and not fuctioning. Told device manager to update driver. It popped up "unknown driver found" would I like to install? Said yes, got a warning and said ignore. Restarted Win 7 and fired up program and I have a working scanner. I have a Profilm 3600 film scanner that I used the same trick. It now works too! Don't ask me why.

If you found the drivers, have you tried installing them in compatibility mode and then allowing windows update to update the drivers?

I got the Mustek 1200UB scanner working in Vista by connecting an old hard drive from an XP installation and searching for the driver on that drive - This doesn't work in Windows 7
If you upgrade a Vista installation to Windows 7 the driver seems to work fine

Unfortunately getting it to work in Vista may be easier than in Win 7, and if you are using Win 7 64 bit, harder yet. This model never had any drivers developed past Win XP, 32 bit. Getting those to work in Vista 32 bit may not be hard to do, but Win 7, and especially Win 7 64 bit is another thing altogether.

If you are running Win 7 Ultimate, you can try to install the XP drivers in XP compatibility mode, and that may work, although as some have found, XP compatibility mode is by no means all-inclusive.

Scanners are one of the hardware areas hardest his by Win 7. Some of Canon's scanners are downright un-useable. Not to point the fickle finger of blame, but it really is the hardware companies that either update their drivers, or fail to do so. Of course the 1200UB plus is pretty long in the tooth, hardware wise as it was developed back in the Win 98SE days...but it was a very decent scanner...

download latest driver which is not available via normal support page ftp://ftp.mustek.com.tw/pub/driver/1.../98-XP/12LV20/

..you just have to pause during installation when the "language choose menu" appear. Connect your scanner and the windows would do the rest

Note: if you've attempt to install it before. Go to "Device Manager" and uninstall troubleshooted hardware..which is your scanner then disconnect it and then reconnect it again
