Problems with DVD drive disappearing

    Thank you and once again it seems to have been fixed. I found another forum which listed similar problems and one of the solutions was to install something like Nero because it would overwrite the drivers that are default with Windows. Luckily i had a copy of Nero right in front of me so i installed it and thankfully it is working and is recognising it as a DVD writer now.

    Thanks for all your help. I would probably still be stuck in the bios by now, Chears
