USBs not working on W7 64

I was reading on here about a solution a moderator (I believe) had found to the USB drives not working in Windows 7. I was prematurely interrupted while reading his solution and cannot seem to find it. The thread read something like "USB Connection - not working???." Could anyone possibly help me with who wrote it? I'd describe my question but I'd rather just read his solution.

Thank you.

There are hundreds of solutions to each issue on these forums. I could suggest looking through your browsing history to find the page, but we would be happy to help you solve your problem.

Thanks for searching before posting, though.
