I am looking for a printer/scanner which is economical to run, and will mostly be used for document scanning as opposed to heavy print runs. I can go without colour, 99% of the time all I print out are plain text documents - if I need glossy photos I'll get it seen to commercially.
I came across the
Samsung SCX-4300 at a decent price, and it seems to output in the order of 2,000 pages per toner cartridge.
Fax isn't a feature I need, and nor is wireless or ethernet hook up, so the unit fits the bill - and although I've read a couple of online reviews and note that Samsung have a
driver suite for Win 7... I'm hoping someone else has the same model and can give an opinion upon it
In particular I'd like to know about print quality from the drum if the thing is only used for short runs, as I remember some laser machines used to require a drum replacement a little too frequently when printing was only done in short runs.
Thanks in advance if anyone can comment...
