Touch Pad/Exteranl Mouse

I have a Dell laptop loaded with Vista. I have upgraded to Windows 7. When I attach the external mouse the touchpad is not deactiviated like it was with Vista. Is there any correction to disable the touchpad when using the external mouse?

One suggestion would be to manually update your touchpad drivers, when you loaded Win 7 the odds are you got a generic driver... hence the loss of functionality...

Go into the setting for the mouse and configure it...
Cannot tell you where really but it is there.
