Windows 7: Need Help installing Hp Photosmart C4640 on Windows 7

i just bought my new laptop like 3 weeks ago and it has windows 7 installed on it.
I also bought a Hp Photosmart C4640 printer like 4 months ago and when i try to install it, it wont let me. A message comes up saying that the printer does not support windows 7.
Can anyone please help me my college starts next monday and i need a working printer soon.

Make sure it is compatible. If it is come back and we can help

If not compatible we may have to install driver in compatibiliity mode.


Windows Compatibility Center

This page right here has the drivers you need for your windows 7. Choose 64 bit or 32 bit depending on your version of Windows 7. Version can be found by right clicking my computer and selecting properties.

Anyway, the driver support on HP's site tells me the printer is supported so install the new drivers listed above and report back to see if it worked.

Should i install the Hp Photosmart Basic Drivers which are 38MB or the Hp Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers which is 117MB?

ok so i downloaded the Hp photosmart full feature software and drivers and i installed it but the language was in French. I managed to completely install it(with google translator) it works perfect. Except everything that comes up for it is in French now is there anyway i can change that

Go back to the site, I am sure they have an English Version. The website was in English. Give me the url I will check, too.

oh i just found the english version, and im downloading it right now.

i downloaded from the link you sent me. When i start the install process the language is english but after like 1 minute it switches back to french and continues the install.
