Guide for better battery performance

Hello I got a laptop and it seems even if I set "Power Saver Plan" my buttery still lasts less then 2 and half hours.

Someone got a good guide to increase my buttery life.

Thanks

The post name threw me way off. the "BUTTERY" performance, to me sounded like a saucy juicy guide and I was tempted to "Butter" my potato. Some laptops however just go as much as they can. The length you speak of is pretty common these days, as laptops are used now more for home as they used to be, due to prices being lower.

My buttery performance is increased if I decrease the screen brightness.

I would also turn off indexing on the drives this increases CPU use.
