    Hard Foults=HDD death

    Hello.
This started yesterday . HDD started to make alot of sound and PC was very slow , used 90%-99% of my ram , memory hard foults was around 120hard faults / second Freezd around 4 times in 60 minutes . Day before i got these scary things my uncle came to play with me in lan and when he plugged the network cable in modem he got anti virus message something like ''anti virus blocked an attack to youre computer'' . Today when i woke up i made full scan with some Microsoft free anti virus , it didnt find anything so i downloaded avast home just to make sure and after install i needed to reboot . At start up i got error ''Disk read occurepted press Ctrl Alt Delete to restart'' i didnt do that cos it was cleat that my HDD is dead .
So here's my question , Was it an virus what did it ? Is the HDD really dead ? Is it possible to save some dada ? is it safe to add this HDD to an PC as a secondary HDD to save dada or try to scan or format it ?
I hope some one can help me cos its my sisters PC , i borrowed my notebook to her cos she went to travel and i used she's table pc while she was gone . 2 month ago her GeForce 8600GTS burned down and now HDD . Shes single mother and low on cash it will hit hard on her .

PC specs are attached .nfo file .

    Thank you.

Reason to hope i can save some data is that my sister stored a pictures in there from year 2004 to 2010
so its a very huge loss for him .
oww man shes gonna be pissed at me
