Annoying Clipboard Apprears

My mate has a HP 4780 Photo Smart. Since loading Windows 7 an annoying clipboard icon keeps appearing on the lh side of the screen. It can be closed by clicking on the icon, but it is a nuisence.

Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

It seems that Clipboard is designed to remember the last instance of copy only. Is there a way of making Clipboard remember more than one copy so that you can view the list of copied items and select which one to paste? Thanks in advance.
