Hmm.... did you try clicking "Add a Printer" option on the toolbar when you click on your home network? That is how I was able to get the Lexmark printer to work. It took awhile for Vista to find and install the driver
but it finally did.
Did you double check all the sharing options as well in Vista for the printer? Sometimes it is the little things we forget when setting up a network.
Also, for my HP printer to work in Vista... I had to go to HP's website for the Vista driver. By the way, what kind of printer are you trying to get working? (USB, Wireless etc...)
another thing to check is Device Manager. Does it see your printer? If it does you could always update the driver manually (maybe Windows has a compatible driver you could use)
or the ol' Windows Update option.
