num lock issue

hello
recently installed windows 7 on my HP pavillion dv9040ea. would love to use the numbers of the number block on the right side without always first having to press NUM LOCK button. because now I have to do so and I have to press NUM LOCK again to be able to type letters of the main keyboard at the same time.
I've tried through the registry, initial keyboard indicators, putting a 2 but after every new system start, it is as it was before: a 0.
in the BIOS I did not find anything like NUM LOCK.
where the *** can I change it?
before I had XP it was different.
thank you!
