    DX58SO and RAM question.

    Hello,
I hope someone can help me with my dilemma :)
I have a DX58SO mobo with i7 CPU, this mobo supports triple channel and I want to use this feature. I currently have 2 x 2GB of DDR3 rams so I know I'm not using triple channel.
I have Windows 7 32-bit and don't want to go 64-bit, so my system is using ~3.2GB of RAM but on dual channel.
My question is: If I get a third 2GB RAM stick, will my system use the triple channel feature? I know it would still use 3.2GB, but will it use them via triple channel?

Another question: if I put 8GB and install the 64-bit version of windows7, will I experience a performance improvement in Games and 32-bit applications?
    Thankyou kindly.

    Hi and welcome
1-yes it will be Tri-channel if your mobo supports it
2-with 8 gigs on 64bit you will notice an improvement

    Thanks for your reply.
I will get a third 2GB ram stick cos I read that only 3 sticks will activate triple channel so I guess I won't go beyond 6GB.
Will 6GB of Ram in 64-bit Win7 give better performance than 4 GB of ram on Win 7 32-bit in Games and 32-bit applications?
    Thankyou.
