I have one machine with Windows 7 x64 installed and one machine with Ubuntu x32. Using a Belkin Flip USB KVM switch to change between the 2. This was working until recently - now when I switch back to Windows 7 the mouse and keyboard freeze and the only solution is to reboot. I can switch back to Ubuntu where everything is fine and dandy.
Had a look at the event viewer and under System I can see some messages which may be related, e.g.:
\Driver\HidUsb failed to load for the device USB\VID_1532&PID_0101&MI_00\7&7cff8c3&0&0000.
I have since bought a Digitus USB KVM Switch (with audio) and I get the exact same thing. Starts up fine, switch to Ubuntu fine, switch back to Windows 7 and the mouse and keyboard freeze. When I have the device manager open, I can see some yellow triangles next to some of the USB input devices.
Anyone have any idea how I can resolve this?
