ACER Crystal Eye and Windows 7

    Hi All,

I updated my ACER Aspire One 751 with Windows 7 HOME Premium. So far the system is running. Only the webcam gives me a lot of trouble.
It was crystal clear while using Vista Home Premium, but now I have a fuzzy display, see attachment.
Using the program or yahoo messenger can open the WebCam, with SKYPE I have only a black screen.
I installed the latest driver for the Cam - nothing
I ran a compatibility test - result the Cam is incompatible
I contacted the Support of ACER - waste of time, no reply at all

Is anybody able to give me a hand to run my cam again ?????

    HELP !!!!!!
Thanks for all you guys posting threads in the forum

    Volker

Have you tried reinstalling in compatibility mode?

Have a look at some newer models that use it, and you might find a decent driver.

    Hi,

I'd run the program as admin - no change.
Attached the screenshot of my device manager

    Thanks

    Sorry man,

you spend so many time but it still the same.
Fortunately NOW my WebCam is recognized by SKYPE and Yahoo, but with this driver I can not start the program from the START menu, only from the messenger.
I did everything like before, run ADMIN, set up compatibility mode, the best result is:
no ADMIN and Vista SP1 setting, display still fuzzy and not adjustable, but transmission of the image is continuously -on other settings are several interruptions in the real image transmission.

Thanks for all effort you put in my case.

    Regards

The last one was for Aspire Notebooks, which I thought was worth a try, this one is for Netbooks, which you could try for nothing....
