Buring back up DVDs from Win7 not playing on XP ??

Ok this seems kinda weird and just noticed this issue when trying to burn my backups to put bak on my XP machine from my win7 (well external drive but) to lazy to take it off so thought i would just burn them real fast,

Anyways.. i burn stuff as a data dvd using Cyberlinks DVD suit and works fine, plays fine on my windows 7 but.. Will not play on XP though. And that is what the files are for. Its the backups of my XP machine. Its a newer HP as well. With a dvd-rw drive to so.. It's wierd. Not sure whats up.

Anybody else have this issue with windows 7 not being able to be read on XP or burning issues to this sort ?? or help advise maybe on what do try and do to get it to be able to be right and read them. The files originally came from the XP as well so.. lol. I dont get it. Not to mention my win 7 machine is brand new as well with all the goodies and trimmings.

Every dvd player wears slightly differently. Mya just be a question of dirt. Try cleaning the drive with compressed air

Weird thing is now. OK I just tried it with 3 different burning programs i have, all burnt on dvd-rw. Now then i tried a regular dvd and still wouldn't. Then i did it with the windows burner instead and still would. But the i just now did it on a CD instead and only pasted one of the folders on it just to see if it was either disc type of it is was size and wasn't loading it cause of sie.

Now with cyberlink software as that's one of my main, but then on a reg CD this time. It could read it.

So... Seems like it's not wanting to read the DVD's. (even though it can read other DVD's i have here. That was not created with my system / windows 7.

I don't get it. lol. Something is not making sense here.
