    Stuck in BIOS

I've posted in this forum as I was tinkering with the interior of the tower before the problem arose.

I've been replacing a few components within a computer. I had an issue with the hard drive. I replaced the faulty sata cable. Now, however whenever the computer boots up, it gets stuck in the BIOS screen, and is unresponsive to both a ps/2 keyboard and it's factory usb keyboard. Can anyone please shed some light on my situation?

Unplug everything from main board first (data and power) ie. just have your PSU, screen card, 1 stick of memory and keyboard connected. Then reboot. If you are successful in booting to the BIOS .... try connecting each device 1 at a time (rebooting each time you connect a new device)

*edit ... also connect power to you CPU fan ... i don't want you frying you chip

I gather from your rep and remark that it looks like you got it resolved

Response was on the mark. Thanks
If so, is there any chance that you could respond back so others might learn and the mods could close this thread as solved ....

    thanks pal

Oh right, sorry. Yes it was resolved.......temporarily I simply removed the television reciever card and it worked for a bit more than a day, then the problem came back. Can anyone shed some light on any possibility as to why this would happen? Thanks

EDIT: Just plugged it in and turned it on. It has decided to work again
