Keyboard PS/2 port randomly stops working

The title really says it all. Sometimes if I plug in a keyboard, it will work for a while and then just stop. I've checked the keyboards in other comps and they work fine. My mobo is an ECS Black P45T-AD3. The rest of my specs are filled in below. Any ideas?

Well, no rush on this as I have a wireless keyboard that is working for now...plus, there is always the on-screen keyboard. It's just really bugging me that I can't figure out why the PS/2 port would short out like that...

It happened for the second time a couple of days ago. I was actually preparing to install some windows updates, but hadn't actually installed them yet. I wanna believe that it's the PS/2 port, but thinking back, I'm pretty sure that this happened once with a usb keyboard since I built this rig.

I also have a problem with my keyboard and mouse, both ps2 devices. Mouse is very glitchy when in windows and games alike, and stops responding altogether along with my keyboard.

    Any Help?
