Combine PC, 360 and Wii on 1 monitor

    Hi.
I have a Dell E207WFP monitor running 1680x1050. I am using this to allow me to switch between my PC and Wii on the monitor (Wii doesn't have VGA output, so I had to buy that box). I also have an XBOX 360, and whenever I want to play that on my monitor I have to unplug the Wii VGA from the back of my monitor and plug in the 360 VGA cable. How can I make it so that I can switch between my PC, Wii and 360 without changing any cables around?
    Thanks.

PS - sorry if this is in the wrong category.

i dont know how much that box cost.... but with 2 more you can definitely do it with a KVM switch.... google it, or go to tigerdirect or something and look it up. you'll need to be a little creative.

So... is there one you/anyone recommends? They all seem pretty expensive. Are you sure a KMV switch is needed?

sure.... no, i wouldent say that, their are some relativley inexpensive ones, check tiger and new egg... i havent looked at the prices recently. Their may be other items, i just havent looked into it. You know what the set up is. If you figure out what exactly a KVM switch is you can set up a plan of how it goes together, and see if it will work in your situation, or what else may work.

I do, but I'm not too sure what the right switch would be.

Does anyone have any ideas for a suitable switch? I have still yet to find one after all this time.

Here's a PDF file that I found under how to connect 2 different gaming consloes using 1 monitor
    http://www.aten.com/data/whitepaper/...per_100312.pdf

The problem is a KVM (Keyboard Video and Mouse switch) is used to connect 2 or more computers to a single monitor. Using DVI or HDMI which the Wii doesn't have. After doing a lot of searching on the topic I couldn't find anything related to connecting them to a monitor only a TV Which has RGB connectors as well as VGA/HDMI/DVI
How Can I Hook Up Four Different Gaming Systems to One TV? | eHow.com

So I don't see how you'll be able to get around not having to disconnect one to use the other. The PDF I provided above will give you in depth knowledge of how the KVM works and you'll see it won't solve your problem. Except possibly letting you still use the switch you have only you'll need a VGA out DVI cable to connect to the KVM, then to the monitor.

At least that's how it appears it would be able to work to me.
