Win 7 Pro 64bit
AsRocks X58 Extreme Motherboard
Intel I7 920 (not overclocked)
6gb OCZ ram
750gb Samsung F1 (boot drive)
2x WD 500gb Green drives (data)
I noticed last night while after transferring some data to a WD external drive, when I pulled the USB cable the whole machine just froze. This is after I had plugged in a flash drive to copy over some Mp3s. I could not access the flash drive, although it did show up in explorer. when trying to access it I just got the little blue thinking circle, oh how I miss the hourglass. I checked event viewer this morning and found a few interesting things.

"The
driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk3\DR3. "
and also this
"The device CORSAIR (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode
driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem."
I will search around and see if there is an out of date
driver. Was running really good for a long time, then just crapped up. I am guessing some windows update must have moved something, or updated that the system did not like. I don't really no when it all started and it was far too long ago for a restore I reckon. I hate to have to reinstall too, every time I do I have to go through a long process of authenticating. Over the phone and all. Total pain.
Thanks for the help
