    xmp? NO!

I am now working with 2 out of 4 RAM DIMMS since the other two proved faulty.

However, I am unable to run stable with XMP enabled.
With auto settings and 1333MHz my system is fine (prime95 pass) but as long as i enable XMP to get the factory ratings for my RAM i get hangs & freezes. I have done many tests and Corsair has suggested to inspect CPU and MOBO-socket for bent pins. They claim they have done tests on this board and SHOULD run xmp with ease... But it doesn't.

I haven't yet opened my case and removed heatsink to take a look at my CPU basically because i am afraid to find out that indeed there are bent pins over there. But my system works perfectly right now (hardcore gaming). Maybe in weekend i will do that examination.

Can anyone provide any manual BIOS settings (other than those XMP enables) to see if i can go 1600MHz?

    Thanks.

I run an i7 system and have found that if i enable xmp it ups voltage as well as speed causing blue screens, i have found the best way is to manually enter ram setings with xmp turned off and my system works fine, it seems because of i7 architecture it doesnt want to run ram at 1600 and if you do you are in effect overclocking so check all settings in bios and set manually

You just have to set your voltage to what the sticker says, and timings, and memory multiplier for the speed. Your BIOS is different from mine or I would give you the exact settings.

I am running the same CPU but our BIOS are different. and my memory is 1600Mhz so that's what I run it at....but I set everything manually.

Thank you for your answers. I am running two modules at the time at 1333MHz (auto-BIOS). When i either choose XMP or i manually set IMC:1.15V, DRAM Voltage:1.65V and DRAM Freq:1600MHz i get troubles. I have already tried the suggested settings from manufacturer (Corsair) but don't work. I guess I am looking for slightly (or not) different settings that could prove stable.
