    Samsung 500gb Sata not getting detected


    Samsung 500gb Sata not getting detected It shows in the bios but not on windows it doesnt show in disk management also so i cant format it
    how to i make it work there?

    MB- Intel D945GCLF
    HDD- SAMSUNG SATA MODEL: HD502HI

    Is it showing in Device Manager.

    boot the computer with an OS CD/DVD and during install, you'll have the option to format the drive

    @PoPPeR- When i connect the sata drive it gets stuck on the windows screen,
    @DocBrown - my mb is intel D945GCLF, I even updated the bios but its still not working
    @theog - its not showing in the device manager



    I have formatted and partitioned it using an external cable converter through usb, so when i connected it externally it works, internally when i connect it on the mb it doesnt

    I updated drivers but it doesnt work, do i have to change any setting in the bios?
    i have attached a pic the hdd shows in disk management but cant do anythign with it

    hey i tried it but doesnt work. i tried first booting for pendrive but it doesnt work. is there any other way, do u have an yahoo messenger Id or something

    I see you have many drives there. try remove all the unnecessary drives and only connect the 500gb drive. then see if you can intialize it. I also sent you a PM with my YIM
