| | Processor I have a single core Pentium U2700 1.3Ghz in my laptop and Tesco told me it was dual so they have said they will sort it. Will my motherboard take a dual pentium? and is it worth the cost? |

| | If this is your processor, I am afraid it's soldered to the motherboard and can be replaced by a Technician or a competent person only. I may be wrong so wait for some educated answers. Intel® Pentium® Processor for Mobile SU2700 - SLGS8 EDIT: Sorry,I was thinking that you were going to upgrade, they may fix with SU4100. Dual core is better than a single core IMO. | | Computer sales people usually know about as much as a rock about hardware. You should have researched the specs on that PC. That CPU is very poor for anything but saving battery life. |
