I'd hang on to that old CRT if the image quality is so important to you..
they use more power than LCD's and often have a much bigger footprint
- but, if the pure image quality is the driving factor, you won't get better than a CRT
I passed my old CRT on to my son, and I must say I envy him - the image is much softer on the eye and still gives superb results..
it's a Dell, BTW..
