Facebook and HP Webcam

I'm using a new HP Pavillion dv6t-2000 laptop with a built in HP webcam and every time I attempt to leave a video on Facebook, the light next to the camera lights up for about a second and then turns off, then nothing appears in the box.

I'm using the most current drivers and i have the most current java update.

any advice? this is frusterating given the built in webcam was part of my purchasing decision

Hi and welcome.
Many people have asked that question and I hope I can find an answer for you.
1. Do you see any multimedia program that may have been installed on your laptop that may look like it uses the webcam.
2. Most folks use webcams for Microsoft Windows Live , Skype and even Facebook.
I left a short video on Facebook awhile back and it took 2 trys.
I do know that Facebook is having problems in the past week or so becasue they have installed new software.

I would try again on facebook and if you have a hotmail account and want to send me your hotmail email address in private we can try MS Messenger Live if you want or Skype if you have that.
