Jumping mouse problem [Tablet]

Hey guys,

I'm trying to use my Medion MD 41217 tablet on Windows 7 (i know, its old, but im not planning on getting a new one since this has always worked fine).

Things that worked:
- My pc recognises the tablet
- Drawing works without the driver installed]
- The driver installed fine

Quote:
Omg your so stupid, everything works fine! stop complaining and go home!
Wrong...
The problem started when trying to use pen pressure

Pen pressure is needed for me to be able to work normally with the tab, but now that I've installed the driver for the tablet, pen pressure works fine, but my mouse keeps jumping! I have looked at this thread, but I cant find the "use different cursor when using pen" thingy....
I have checked the drivers app thouroughly, and I wondered if the function is a Windows function, and not a specific driver function, does anyone here know where to find such a thing on Windows 7?

I hope you do, all help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

-Yoeri

Hello there, hopefully you're still reading these forums. I had the exact same problem with my MD 41217, a few days a go. I accidently got it to work flawless, but then the next day it didnt work and i sat for hours trying to recreate the solution. I didn't manage to recreate the solution but, rather found another solution.

So the problem seems to lie with Windows 7 automaticly uses it's built in "Input and Tablet Component" (or something like that it was called) when it senses a tablet and that + the drivers for the pen doesn't seem to work well together.

So what to do:
Go to: Control Panel > Administrtive Tools -> Services -> Look for "Tablet PC Input Service". Double click it. Choose startup type: Disabled. (Also if it is running press Stop)

Note: I didn't seem to be able to get Pen Pressure with the standard drivers for the MD41217. So you should find substitute drivers that are equal. I'm using some drivers for a model called 14070 by Trust. Try Google: MD 41217 + drivers + pen pressure. Or something like that to find other drivers!

Hope this helped!
