That pops up on my Dell Inspiron E1505, I think it's the card reader? That's atleast what a rather quick Google search rendered.

I have the same problem and I don't know what it's for, I can't find anything that's not working.

I have this;

Everything seems to be working fine. It doesn't show up in Vista. A mystery device LOL.

The SMBus Controller (System bus controller) is part of the motherboard Intel chipset. It monitors your system board's temperature and voltage. If you have programs that read your hardware sensors, you need the this.

The software should be on your motherboard/computer install disk. Otherwise you could try browsing Intel's site for it.
The first two posts are indeed the card reader. Again, the software should be on the system disk or the Dell site.

Hi,

I don't have a card reader. As far as I can tell, everything is accounted for under other device manager entries.

Says it's a blb drive. It doesn't show up in Vista.

Any ideas about this mystery device please?
