    IBM 380Z Laptop

I have this laptop sitting in the closet, which I would install W7 on, except that it is particularly limited in terms of RAM and hard drive space. When I bought it s number of years ago, I asked about increasing the size of the memory, to which I received a negative response, but not given an explanation for it. This makes me wonder if the RAM that it uses is proprietary and of a design that wouldn't be compatible with current laptop RAM available? The same question applies to the hard drive?

Have a look here & see what info you can get.

Thanks, but I already knew what they had to say about it, but it has never been clear to me if those limits are absolutes or just what they offered? With those limitations, I would be better off leaving it in the closet.
