    [SOLVED]Biometric device help

Hi I have a Authentec AES2501A fingerprint reader built-in on my laptop. My laptop came with Vista but I upgraded to Windows 7. Went to download the Beta driver on Authentec and all. My problem is, everytime I swipe for login, this message pops up "Your Fingerprints have not been enrolled for authentication". I don't understand how to. I am given little choice in the biometric settings, its just Turn on/off biometric devices. Pls help.

I suspect you are going to have to go to the authentic site. Did you have to so something like that when you first started using it in vista?

Actually, it was working well in Vista, A couple of months ago, the reader used to work in Windows 7, but then it stopped so I was wondering if someone knew a solution. Its just the message it keeps telling me thats bothering me. Im wondering if there is something I got to do to authenticate fingerprints which should be already authenticated.

Well, Im just gnna post this to let others know how to fix this problem.
I just replaced the fingerprint management from Truesuite 2.0 to Upek's Protector Suite 2009. After installation, just go to the program and go to Settings>Windows Logon and check out "Use advanced fingerprint logon features & Allow to bypass logon using Windows password". Then thats it.

    Hey,

You could try this article which I found useful during setup: Enable Logon Using Biometric Fingerprint Reader in Windows 7 x86 & x64

    Hope it helps,
