Windows 7: Sony DVD ROM Not working

Sony DVD ROM Not working

Hi All,

I have been looking on internet from past 1 month now to find a resolution to my problem.

I have installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on my computer, but after I have done so, I am unable to use my SONY DVD Rom (SONY DRU 190A ATA ) it does not recognise any CD-DVD put into it.
If i go to My computer and right click to eject it, it does that, If i try to boot from the DVD it does so,that means it is working absolutely fine.
However after windows loads it does not work.
P.S: There is Absolutely No Problem with the Hardware

Troubleshooting I have tried:

* Delete Uppper and lower filters
* Instal firmwares' and latest drivers
* tried to boot after disabling the device driver signature enforcement
* Tried In-place upgrade and Custom Install once,NO Results.
* Tried to uninstall and install the device from the device manager
* Tried to create a new user account and use it there.

If anyone has any update, please notify me on and CC it to:

Many Thanks to all in Advance!

I have also checked the following links and tried the things, NOTHING Works!

Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs - a Mr Fixit
The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista
When you insert a CD or a DVD, Windows Vista may not recognize the disc
Your CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media - A Mr Fixit
CD/DVD drive does not appear in Windows Vista, or you receive this error during Windows Vista setup after booting from the DVD (AHCI)
CD-R drive or CD-RW drive is not recognized as a recordable device
Hardware devices not detected or not working - A Mr Fixit
Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just snug. For laptops you can often clean the power and
data contacts with a pencil eraser.
