hey, my mrs finally let me buy a new rig, just wondering if this would be ok for a couple years,

Looking at the specs I'd say so, and look at what you get for your money, for an extra £10, you can upgrade it to the AMD Phenom™ II X4 955 Black Quad Core Processor AM3 (3.20GHz, 8MB Cache).

I would say so, and you're always going to have the option to upgrade too. But as your budget has now doubled, you might find something better for your money - google.co.uk
