Can Film Screen Protectors Adhere to Matte Screens?

I have a 26" matte LCD screen for my TV (so it's not shiny and glossy) but I want a film screen protector for it...I've emailed one person who sells screen film protectors and have not received a reply yet...and was wondering if anyone here knows.

    Thanks.

I've found this: FAQ's Protective Films - Photodon

Scroll down to I've heard using an anti-glare screen protector on a matte screen...

My first thought reading this thread, was to use something like this on my desktop monitors, because it would be good not to have to clean them, just have a lot of disposable films. However, at the price of those shown for Acer, they are too expensive to just throw away on a single use, plus none were large enough for my monitors.

If such a thing existed, it would be nice to peel off the old film each week and replace it with a fresh one.

lol Dwarf jumps from this forum to the Vista one that's awesome btw since I do the same as he/she already saw.

Also I don't see why people seem to be saying film screen protectors are mainly for the purpose of keeping a screen clean. That's what cleaning liquids and cloths are for...whereas screen protectors does just that, protect the screen...from scratches, marks, etc. Why would it be used to protect it from fingerprints? Do finger prints damage screens? No. Marks and/or scratches do.

Here is one that I found a couple of days ago. I was looking for an anti glare film, but they seem to have most anything of the sort. I can't vouch for them, because I haven't bought from them yet, because my new HDTV hasn't arrived yet.
