null port for file conversion

I've installed Quick Books 10 on my PC. In conjunction I've installed a NUL port in Devices called QuickBooks PDF Converter 3.0. The PDF converter allows you to convert a Quick Books file to a PDF. Attached is a small .bmp (hopefully you can read it) showing the configuration.

With XP Pro, I didn't have to do this conversion. I just did a 'save as' and made referenced a PDF extension.

THE PROBLEM: Everytime I reboot, The NUL port goes away and I have to add it again under Devices. Kinda a pain.

Thoughts?
