Windows 7: Installed memory(RAM): 4GB (2.94GB Usable)

To the OP, reseat your memory. There's a chance one of your sticks is either not seated properly, or has died.

This isn't a fix at all, because that option doesn't become checked on it's own. By default, it is unchecked, and shouldn't be checked unless you are a developer who knows why you would need to limit your memory.

Confirmed!!! I checked msconfig on my laptop which has 3 of 4 GB useable... goes to video & audio subsystems... this is unchecked by default!

In going through this thread I am surprised at the number of replies with under 5 posts total and all the "expert" advice given here...

The OP never responded but I bet its a lappy or desktop with integrated graphics and or sound! These youngins just dont understant how things used to be!
