Have you installed any virtual CD-ROM/DVD programs such as Daemon tools or VirtualCD?

It is a program that allows you to mount DVDs and CDs without actually putting them into the DVD drive. The program first reads the DVD or CD (must be in the drive for this) then later when you want to use it, you insert it (virtually from the image created and stored in your harddrive) into the drive (BD-rom - not a real drive but a virtual one) created by the Daemon tools. This is one of the things it does.
I use VirtualCD myself so I'm not as familiar with Daemon.

I find it best to find out what programs do before installing them on my system.

Yeah, but sometimes the things are really hidden - like Office 2010 installer placing a virtual disk into Computer - a few imaging programs do the same when you mount the image. You have to go really deep into their documentation to find that info.

If you want to image your system, use this. Works really well, is easy, fast and small.
