It is a program that allows you to mount DVDs and CDs without actually putting them into the DVD drive. The program first reads the DVD or CD (must be in the drive for this) then later when you want to use it, you insert it (virtually from the image created and stored in your harddrive) into the drive (BD-rom - not a real drive but a virtual one) created by the Daemon tools. This is one of the things it does.
I use VirtualCD myself so I'm not as familiar with Daemon. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1, Windows 8 Pro x64 CPU INTEL Core i7 3820 LGA 2011 Motherboard Gigabyte GA X79 UD5 v1.0 F13s Memory 16 GB (4 X 4GB) G-Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3 2133 Quad Channel Graphics Card EVGA GTX 460 SC 1GB Sound Card Realtek Onboard ALC898 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung BX2431 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Explorer Mouse PSU Corsair HX1000W Case Thermaltake Armor+ Cooling INTEL BXRTS2011LC Liquid-cooled Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 4 120GB 2.5 in. Yeah, but sometimes the things are really hidden - like Office 2010 installer placing a virtual disk into Computer - a few imaging programs do the same when you mount the image. You have to go really deep into their documentation to find that info. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |
