    Installing a second dvd drive

Ok then, I have a dvd drive ND-2500A from my old PC and want to fit it to my new one as a slave. What problems am I likely to encounter if any or what should I be aware of before fitting it?

    Thanks. :)

As far as it it working? You shouldn't have any problems.

Just remember, as with any component upgrade, shutdown and unplug the power first :)

Is it an IDE DVD drive ? or a Sata DVD drive. If IDE you will have to set the jumper as slave depending if it is on IDE cable 0 or cable 1

I have two SATA DVD drives and have had no problem. I'm not sure, but I think I had to check a box to show empty drives before I could get it to show in My Computer when there was no DVD in it.
