    Just out of curiosity, when you originally flashed your bios,
    were you overclocked by any chance?

    You shouldn't flash while OC'd because issues can happen.
    If so, you may need to clear CMOS, and reflash.

    I did all that and still have same problem. Upon post it hangs after giving the first line of bios screen including CPU id patch. I left it sitting for over 10 mins and it proceeded no further. I pressed reset and bingo it raced through the bios and booted up. I am at a loss now as I have tried all suggestions on the forum. It is a pain as I now have to wait till the computer posts then reset it before it will boot into windows !!!
    It could be trying to recover the secondary BIOS. I had something similar happen and I had to wait a long time (like 20-30 minutes) before it recovered. I don't know if that's normal, but it happened to me. You might try re-flashing using all safety procedures. Load optimized before and after. Read this before you flash a gigabyte BIOS.
