For my work i currently run Autocad LT 2008 on a XP laptop. My latop screen started to go about a month ago and is getting really bad. So i'm in the market for a new laptop. I'd like to buy a machine which will not require me to upgrade autocad as well since it seems i just paid for the upgrade. I have been reading that i would need Windows 7 professional and run the xp module to install the autocad. Does anyone have thoughts or any recommendations from recent experience? I went to the local box store and they only carry machines with Win 7 Home Premium.
I'm using AutoCad LT 2006 in XPMode on a Windows & machine and it works just fine. The proble I have is that, in the drawing area, I have both the crosshairs and the mouse pointer tagging along. I'd like to "fix" that. Otherwise it works great.
